Favorite Blogs

Isn't blogging an interesting thing? Who would have thought that millions of us would be so intent on reading other people's thoughts and even checking in for stories about families we don't even know...reading journals of people we've never met! Of course the best ones are the blogs of people we know and love. It is a great way to keep in touch and get to know each other better. I didn't think I would ever do it. It is hard for me to write about myself publicly! But I love the connections I've made through it and the feeling of camaraderie! Thanks so much to everyone who comments! It totally makes my day and makes it easier!

Kristen - my great friend from college who has the cutest family and lives in France!

They are people I know and love to read about! Below is a list of blogs I read that I love but usually just wait for them to show up on my feedblitz.

My Happy Little Life - this one really inspires me sometimes - I really like some of her views on life.
Confessions of a Pioneer Woman - This lady can really make me laugh and is a good writer.
takiyaje - It isn't even in English but who can resist this? She makes the most amazing dolls and stuffed things!
Wee Wonderfuls - Wonderful crafty blog. I really want to make this from her patterns!
Sew Mama Sew - Lots of crafty goodness to be had here as well as sewing tutorials!
Posie Gets Cozy - A warm and homey type blog.
Stitches and Seams - A great seamstress.
Feeling Stitchy - Fun embroidery stuff.
Angry Chicken - Sewing, crafting, cooking, etc.
Mika - I like this guy's personality, voice and some of his songs.
Funky & Delightful - crafting, sewing, cooking..
How About Orange - sewing, crafting, designing, and other interesting stuff.

There are actually more, but these are maybe my top ones. If you can't tell, when I don't have the energy to craft and sew, I like to read about it!

How Do You Read Your Blogs?

Last night at about 8 pm, I had the intense desire to go to sleep! I needed it so badly that I dropped everything, climbed into bed, and told Jake he could guest post on my blog if he wanted. So he took a video of himself playing Rock Band on the Playstation 3 and spent a couple hours downloading and trying different video converters to get it up here. No luck! Hence... no blog post yesterday! Maybe I will post a couple times in one day another day.

So... I'm curious. How do you read your blogs? Do you just check them all? Or do you like bloglines, google reader, or something else? Do you have many that you read? Do you have many through which you weed? Do you read them in a chair, do you read them in your underwear? Lol just kidding. It started to sound like a Dr. Seuss poem so I thought I'd go with it. My favorite way is Feedblitz because they email them right to me. That is for the ones that I don't check on my own or when I get busy and am not checking regularly. It takes about 24 hours to get them to you but I really like just skimming through them in my email! On the website, if you scroll down to the bottom left, it has a little box that says "subscribe" and then you copy and paste the link and put your email address in and voila! They come right to your email. You don't even have to register.
