Ho Ho Ho!

Christmas Questions from Kara

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper but gift bags are awfully convenient. A little of both is good.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. I’m allergic to the real thing.

3. When do you put up the tree? It just depends.

4. When do you take the tree down? That just depends too. Energy and time have to collide at just the right moment.

5. Do you like eggnog? I adore it! But I can’t have dairy. I used to pour it over a bowl of rice and warm it in the microwave – yum!

6. Favorite gift received as a child? Hmm.. Easy Bake Oven… or Laurie Walker the huge life-size doll maybe? (Even though my brothers and dad tortured her.)

7. Hardest person to buy for? My dad is not just hard – he’s impossible. We’ve all given up and just make him scrapbook pages.

8. Easiest person(s) to buy for? I really LOVE shopping for most people. It’s probably one of my favorite things ever.

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes – one carved from olive wood in Israel.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? I usually try to mail some, but it isn’t looking good this year.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can’t remember a really bad one.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Maybe Elf? But I also like all the cheesy ones that are on Hallmark this time of year.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? November-ish. I never have it all done early though – it is part of the whole Christmas feeling going out and shopping for presents.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yes. One was a candle, and another one was this awesome chocolate violin that I gave to a guy who plays the violin. It was just too perfect.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Nothing in particular comes to mind, although I do like the festive foods like ham, cookies…

16. Lights on the tree? Chyeah!

17. Favorite Christmas song? I like most of them. I love O Holy Night, For Unto Us a Child Is Born, Little Drummer Boy, What Child is This?, I could go on. Oh - and Baby It's Cold Outside is fun.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Home! Well, wait… are we talking warm and balmy weather? If so, I’d be all over it.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer & Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner & Blitzen

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I have a star for it right now. I like both.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We do family presents on Christmas Eve, and then Santa and Mom and Dad ones on Christmas Morning.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Usually the weather and the crummy road conditions that come along with it, but not this year – it’s only snowed once so far.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I like lime or light green in with the green and red.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Ham, turkey, whatever works.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A cutting table for sewing!

Lucky

I got this idea from Jana. My sister Suz's cute friend.
What you do is put your iPod or MP3 Player on Shuffle, and for each question, put the title of the song that comes up.

1. IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY? Let it Go -- Michael McLean - haha I love that!
2. WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY? Again -- Jessie Clark Funk
3. WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL? You are loved -- Josh Groban
4. HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY? Kiss Me -- Sixpence None the Richer
5. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE? You Can't Stop the Beat -- cast of Hairspray hahahaha so is my life's purpose to stop the beat? Or that I want to, but can't? :) 'Cause I honestly do feel like life is one giant merry-go-round that I can't seem to find my way off of to rest for a while! (No - I don't want to die!! I just want to rest and get well, but life does not stop for that. Know what I mean?) OK, I think I'm going a little crazy with this analyzing of completely random answers to life questions!!! LOL!
6. WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO? Little Sparrow -- David Cook
7. WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU? Always Waiting -- Stellar Kart -Hmmm...
8. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN? Lullaby -- Dixie Chicks
9. WHAT IS 2 + 2? Talk -- Coldplay
10. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND? Let Love In -- Goo Goo Dolls
11. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE? Hold On -- Stellar Kart - Yep, I'm just holding on for that one.
12. WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY? Outside -- Aqualung
13. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? My Life -- Billy Joel
14. WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE? I Saw -- Matt Nathanson
15. WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU? Sweet Caroline -- David Archuleta
16. WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING? Held -- Natalie Grant - Oo this is good - have you checked out my playlist? I didn't make it play automatically because sometimes I don't like that and didn't want it to be buggy.
17. WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL? Along the Wall -- Leigh Nash -she's got such a pretty voice.
18. WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST? Chances -- Kirby Heybourne
19. WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET? A Break In the Clouds/Look Up -- Steven Kapp Perry
20. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS? Accidentally in Love -- Counting Crows
21. WHAT'S THE WORST THING THAT COULD HAPPEN? Who Knew -- Pink
22. HOW WILL YOU DIE? I Will Not Be Moved -- Natalie Grant -funny.
23. WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU REGRET? Let it Be -- Superchick -Wow that's cool. I only liked the song for about one listen except I do like the words, but I really like that answer.
24. WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH? What About Everything --Carbon Leaf
25. WHAT MAKES YOU CRY? Maybe This Christmas -- Leigh Nash
26. WILL YOU EVER GET MARRIED? Life In One Day -- Howard Jones
27. WHAT SCARES YOU THE MOST? You Can Make It -- Michael McLean
28. DOES ANYONE LIKE YOU? The Fear You Won't Fall -- Joshua Radin
29. IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE? Which Part Is Mine -- Michael McLean
30. WHAT HURTS RIGHT NOW? Shut Your Eyes -- Snow Patrol
31. WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS? Lucky -- Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat

Funny how there are actually a few great answers from such a random thing! It was fun listening to all these songs - many of which I hadn't listened to in a while. I have decided to enjoy the shuffle feature more often. Don’t laugh at all the Michael McLean. I like me some Sunday -and other days- uplifting music! lol And how good is the ancient music of Howard Jones?? :D
